IV. Fantasy F1

Fantasy F1 is a free to play game available on the official F1 mobile app or website. Start picking your F1 Fantasy team right away. You’ll need to choose 5 drivers and 2 constructors, staying within the 100m cost cap. The teams and drivers will be rated accordingly to their performances during the real life races.

You can create up to 3 teams and your teams can be a part of multiple leagues. Leagues are a fun way to enjoy F1 Fantasy with friends, family or other players. When you join a league your team will compete with others league members as everyone’s teams score points.

You can make as many changes to the teams as you want before the season starts, but once that happens, you are only allowed 2 free transfers between the races. Any extra transfers in your team will cost you 4 points. One unused free transfer from a race will be automatically transferred to the next one. The prices of drivers and teams will be updated after each race, depending on their performance.

The game also allows the usage of Chips. F1 Teams constantly bring upgrades for their cars and chips can help power-up your team too. Each chip will suit different situations throughout the season. Whether it’s helping you to make wholesale changes to your line-up or giving one driver a huge x3 score multiplier there’s a chip that can help. Once you’ve chosen to use one of your chips that decision is final and cannot be cancelled. There are 6 chips available in total and you can choose from 3 of these straightaway - these are Autopilot, Extra DRS Boost and No Negative. The remaining 3 will unlock for your team’s 2nd race. Each chip can only be used once during the season and you can only use one per race, so choose carefully.

Your team’s score will update throughout the weekend, shortly after qualifying, the Sprint and the Grand Prix. Your final score will be calculated as soon as all the data has come back from the track and scoring events (like overtakes and fastest pitstops) are validated. This might be a few hours after the chequered flag has been waved.
